t-minus...

the past few days saw little rest on my part. probably because i've been loafing for so long that "rest" somehow morphed to something exhausting. maybe. my head's a cornucopia of muddled trash. of stagnation, emptiness and a pool of quandaries. sas coined me as someone who's unsure of everything. someone who is overly cautious. someone whose decisions don't achieve anything except another weight of confusion. however...

...lately, something changed. one's thing's certain: we're going home. hehe. a mandatory (well, it's more self-imposed) rest. away from the annoying claws of the great white hope and my annoying superior. in anyway, i'll be getting a respite. four short weeks. soon, the countdown started: t-minus 1 1/2 months. 45 days and counting. 45 days to iron things out.

anyway, started pasalubong shopping a week ago. on the prowl for bargain items and boutiques for their annual sale days. need to fill up five large U-Haul boxes. i don't exactly know the logic behind the "pasalubong" thing, but it's entirely Filipino. and i know this might sound as some patriotic bullshit, but hey, i'm proud to be one.



likewise, this may be a little premature to say, but i already started packing my bags...

won't be coming back home for 5 years at least. or if finances would allow us to, malamang makauwi ulit.

what about me visiting you and your family in tampa? that would be a great idea...

there is a saying here in spain about welcoming friends at home. do you believe in the saying - mi casa tu casa (my home your home)?

if you do then i'll pack my clothes in june 2006 and get myself to tampa.

who care about the apartment? it's your family that i'm visiting and not necessarily your place... i can sleep in the couch. just have to make sure that hurricanes would not come along with me from the atlantic....
