causeway photoshoot
last sunday, sas and me drove to a causeway whose name i can't recall to do a photoshoot (actually, i was the one who insisted on the photoshoot since sas possess no interest whatsoever in photography- - -or anything that involves camera and whatnots). the weather was perfectly chilly, we're clocking a little below 50 degrees F, but the wind- - -oh! blasted wind, nearly blew my tripod down however i managed to scrimp a few photos. well, most of my shots were taken handheld and the above statement was a poetic exaggeration.
here's some of 'em:
shutter: 1/320, aperture: f/6.3, ISO 200, focal length: 30mm
a close-up shot of a metal trash bin. i had resized the image and tweaked it using a macintosh software called watermark pro. nonetheless, i made no other revisions on the photo aside from the watermark on the bottom right part and a black border.
shutter: 1/250, aperture: f/10, ISO: 280, focal length: 19mm
the view of the seaside part of the causeway from where we parked. I took this using the tripod i was talking about. notice the mildly violent gust of wind on the branches of the trees. the guard rail on the left serves as the threshold to a 60mph highway. this was shot in auto mode, as i was experimenting with the programmed shooting modes of the camera.
shutter: 1/320, aperture: f/5.6, ISO: 200, focal length: 35mm
slight close-up view of the large granite-like boulders that serves as the shoreline between the narrow path along the causeway and the tampa bay.
anyway, i'll try to post more on the photoshoot i conducted, but not before the continuation of our trek to georgia nearly a month ago. i'm still having the difficulty of transferring most of the photographs from my camera and into my computer- - -that maybe the reason on why i still haven't made some considerable progress on my writing regarding that trip.
