the eight.
okay. so i was tagged by
Noel Vera.
and tagging simply meant a mandatory post. fortunately, a mandatory post is what i'm scrounging for at this very moment. it'll be a month now since i last made an entry, and it seemed that blogging turned out to be a practice in writing.
anyway, here are the rules:
1. list eight (8) things/facts about yourself that people don't know (why 8? why not 9? i don't know, why not 10?---so, 8 it is)
2. then tag anybody you wish to tag (can be a friend or a relative or someone who has a blog; or wastes time maintaining one)
3. leave a comment on his/her blog telling them they're tagged (it's not
mandatory, but do it anyway)
4. have them post the
meme on their blogs and do the same thing (it's a simple instruction, don't you think?).
5. remember, there is no pressure. we're just keeping the cycle running.
on with the show:
1.
I despised pizza when i was a child. yes. i did. and i managed to devour a whole family-sized pizza twelve years later. initially, my impression of pizza is similar to a
kanin-baboy. there was a yucky sensation i sensed whenever a picture of Shakey's or a Pizza Hut was laid in front of me. i usually settle for the chick n'chips (mojos, double-ordered) or anything in lieu of french fries.
2.
i had my first coffee when i was four years old. i am lactose-tolerant. but my baptism to caffeine was like a rite to passage to adulthood. somehow, that cemented the thought that my days of being a kid were through. nope. it didn't. it merely added to the idea that i was on my way into becoming a caffeine-addict (which, at this point, is certainly I am).
3.
i was good at drawing, but lost the touch. freehand, that is. the days before photoshop or illustrator is the time of pen and paper artistry. but i never became an artist. nor competed at school. there were kids who drew better than i did. i started with two stick figures and a round object and ended up with an oversized Doomsday portrait in bond paper copied from the Death of Superman trade paperback. however, my predilection to freehand drawing (and the stick figures scribbled on cigarette box cartons) were my first storyboards.
4.
my wife is my only girlfriend. she is my first. in everything. nuff said.
5.
my kiddie ambition was to become a scientist. the scientist thing was a bit broad, honestly. every child dream of the moon. so, i wanted to be an astronaut. i had this astronaut costume when i was little---complete with NASA patches and all that, except that the spacesuit lacked the bubble helmet. instead, they replaced it with a fabric one with plastic visors. i remember i still have a picture of myself wearing that and holding a
buck rogers laser blaster.
6.
i feel that i'm the reincarnated soul of a dead world war 2 solider. it is exceedingly facetious, but there was this odd occurrence wherein i felt something
deja-vu-esque when Sas and I went to Corregidor a couple of years ago. perhaps, one concrete basis for my recurring penchance for anything military history related. she also said that my mom told her about the booklet of names i supposedly written when i was a kid. the list was nowhere to be found, sad to say, but it would've had confirm the doubts i have. weird.
7.
i love my family. my life revolves on them. nuff said.
8.
i'm a sucker for memes. especially if they are answered in short bursts. or phrases. i have a strange inclination to truncate sentences recently. and blog posts evidently suffered from the lethargy. i haven't actually written a single thing for months now (except for the compulsory blog update), and sometimes i think the neglect was not premeditated in anyway.
that's it. show's over. still i managed to impose a certain personal censorship. that's a good thing.
okay. now, who's tagged? lemme see...
the cynical bitch (Dada) - nearly posted the url, my apologies. hehe.
the filipino traveler (Evans)
he who thrives on mediocrity (Rommel)
the wifey whose friendster blog url still escapes methat fella in dubai (Jepaperts)
he who asks the marathon man (Dodo) - um, i think he has a similar meme to this. oh, well.
crimson diatribes (Macel)
and to the rest of y'all blogdom serfs who are waylaided to the site and find this meme...um, particularly appealing (or thought-provoking; or enough of a filler).
